West Worcs Labour
Elections
General Election Candidate, Kashif Haroon

It’s a time for change which our country needs. I have almost 15 years of experience of campaigning for the Labour Party, locally where I live and in other parts of the country. I come from a multicultural and working class constituency and I have worked hard to change our constituency. People, who know me, know I would bring passion and commitment to this seat and fight to the best of my ability if successful. I would try to do as well as I can to represent the area and work closely with the CLP and the residents if I get elected.
I believe we must build on the strengths that the Leadership has brought to the Party and use our increased membership as a key to electoral success. It will be vital to motivate those sections of the population that, for whatever reason, often don’t vote, not least our young people. The bottom line is, the Labour Party has a plan, to turn the page and deliver. Lets get our NHS back on its feet, switch on Great British Energy, tear down the barriers to opportunity, make our streets safe and focus on our communities…
I have worked hard throughout my life and after completing my graduation in LLB (Hons), I am now a solicitor. My education contributed towards the confidence to work for the Labour Party and then to stand for election. I have been working as a Solicitor whilst simultaneously, serving as a Councillor / Cabinet member for Public Realm & Climate Change in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. I’ve been prominent in efforts to improve our borough’s appearance, cleansing, transport and climate change. I have fought for Labour, to get more police officers on our streets, NHS back on its feet, tackling fly tipping locally and climate change, which is all evident on my social media pages.
