Tory-led Worcestershire County Council has been rated inadequate for Child Protection services. A highly critical Ofsted report has highlighted ‘serious failures’.

The report specifically criticised the performance of elected councillors, stating ‘Elected members and senior leaders have not taken sufficient action to ensure the protection of vulnerable children. This corporate failure leaves children in Worcestershire at continued risk of significant harm’.

This is yet another example of the declining public services the Tories are presiding over. In May, the Worcestershire public will have the chance to reject this performance by electing Labour councillors.
