Thank you to all the West Worcestershire residents who voted for Labour candidates in the county Council elections on Thursday.
Although it was disappointing not to win any of the divisions, we did increase both our vote share and our number of votes in all the divisions where we actively campaigned compared to the last election in 2013. This is down to the hard work of the candidates themselves and the members and supporters who campaigned on their behalf.
During the campaign we met many residents who share Labour values; our vision for a better, fairer society; and a concern for where this Conservative government and local council are taking us with austerity, public service cuts and growing inequality.
So the fight goes on, most immediately campaigning for Labour votes in the General Election on June 8th. Please keep supporting us – if your’re able to get involved in actively campaigning for Labour – canvassing, distributing leaflets, or in a support or admin role, click here to sign up
